On October 24th Homeport hosted a grand celebration at the new Hilton Downtown Columbus to honor Homeport’s founders — the visionaries that came together to tackle the issue of a lack of safe and affordable homes for residents in our community. Over 500 guests–including founders, partners, residents and friends–joined in reflecting on the past and the vision for the future. Emcee for the evening was Skip Weiler, the son of founder Robert Weiler, Sr. Rounding out the event were a toast to the founding members and organizations, public debut of our My Home video, and reconnection with old friends.
“I am so honored to be here today with such a distinguished group of dedicated community influencers as our founding members. We would simply not be where we are today, helping thousands of people have safe, affordable, program-enriched housing, without your vision and determination,” said Amy D. Klaben, President/CEO of Homeport.
Please stay tuned for more pictures from the event.
